We have hired This haunted house exclusively overnight for a ghost hunt. The venue is a favourite with ghost-hunters due to the amount and regularity of paranormal activity experienced there.

Join us as we discover the dark history surrounding this home!

At the turn of the eighteenth century, Llangollen was well-known for being the home of The Ladies of Llangollen: Lady Eleanor Butler and Miss Sarah Ponsonby eloped here from their families in Ireland, their journey to Wales and their setting up home at Plas Newydd was unusual for Regency society.

The house where they lived together for almost 50 years was originally a small cottage when they moved there in 1780 but by 1814 they transformed the house into the gothic building attracting many visitors including The Duke of Wellington, Sir Walter Scott, and Wordsworth.

The result is the projecting stained glass windows and elaborately carved oak panels built into the fabric of the house. The formal gardens in front of the house were created after The Ladies' time but they reflect the peace and tranquility that the runaways were seeking.

Will we find the ghost of an aggressive military man who has not only been felt here but has been seen on many occasions. His presence is often preceeded by guests feeling breathless and having chest pains. Will we experience the spirit of the small boy who died mysteriously at the location or that of a very angry woman. Perhaps the spirits of the old lady reported to haunt the dining room will make herself known to us.

Or will it be the spirits of the female lovers themselves who sought refuge here all those years ago. Their presence has been felt and reports of full apparitions have been recorded. Even that of a full conversation with the lovers and a guest which inspired the writing of a book ! The house has been reported to have the sounds of a small childs scream from people who live very close and an overbearing sensation of being watched!!

This building has a wonderful history attached to it and will surely be a fantastic location for an overnight ghost hunt and vigil.

Join in with group séances, table tipping and more. As with all our events you will have the opportunity to break down into smaller groups and carry out your own investigation, with the help and guidance of our team.

Our ghost hunting equipment will all be made available for your use, and you will be shown how to use it effectively.

You are welcome to bring any ghost hunting equipment of your own, and don't forget your camera and / or camcorder.
