Margam Castle Ghost Hunt - 12th of June 2010

Margam Castle is the most impressive location Compass Paranormal Events have investigated. It is nestled within a dramatic backdrop, dark dense woods are to the rear of the Castle and beautiful ornate landscape gardens decorate the front of the building enhancing the ambience of this truly striking piece of Gothic architecture, which after many years of disrepair is now being restored.

This was Compass Paranormal Events first ever visit to this magnificent Castle. All The team and our guests were truly amazed to be able to spend the night investigating this location and all of the rooms and corridors, of this once most splendid family home, steeped in mystery and intrigue.

The Castle is staffed 24 hours a day most of whom have bore witness to some truly terrifying ghostly encounters and our guide for the Castle had his own stories to tell which he shared with us at the end of a truly amazing evening. This enhancing our own Paranormal experiences of the night.

As daylight faded and the evening shadows began to cast the Castle into darkness, the location became even more dramatic. The woods resonated their eerie noises of the night, the Castle now framed by the evening sky where the resident bats of the Castles towers flew around enhancing the dramatic atmosphere of the location, making one feel as though they were in a scene from a Scary film, enhancing the reported fact that the Castle and surrounding grounds is a haven of Psychic Energy.

The scene was now set for our ghostly vigils, and the team and quests were certainly not disappointed by their endeavours to communicate with the many spirits who still roam this majestic Castle.

The phenomena we experienced during the night certainly left all who witnessed the activity without a rational explanation of the night’s events. Both our mediums Barrie John and Roy Roberts amazed the guests and the staff with their accurate details of the ancestors and inhabitants who once resided in the Castle. These accounts are known only to a select few and never before had they been picked up on by various mediums who had previously visited the Castle.
