Join our team and our celebrity Medium Barrie John, as we investigate the Labarynth of extensive tunnels and rooms of this 19th Century coastal defense fort .

Compass Paranormal Events have full access to the site for this exclusive ghost hunt.

Coalhouse Fort is a victorian coastal defence fort set in parklands next to the river Thames at East Tilbury, Essex, completed in 1874, to defend the approaches to London from the perceived threat of invasion from France.

It is one of many such forts, referred to as Palmerston Forts. Over the years many of these forts have been demolished or radically altered but Coalhouse has kept much of its original architectural form.

Considered to be one of the finest examples of an armoured casemated fort in the UK The fort is undergoing restoration by 'The Coalhouse fort Project'.

The paranormal activity previously experienced here ranges from full apparitions appearring in front of the volounteers working there each day to the haunting sounds of childrens screams.

Will you dare to join us through its extensive tunnel network and into the fort itself as we search every dark corner and room for the sights and sounds of the spirits that still haunt this Fort today!

Barrie will carry out experiments of new and old techniques to encourage paranormal activity. Dare you volunteer to be part of some of our experiments?

Join in with group séances, table tipping and more. As with all our events you will have the opportunity to break down into smaller groups and carry out your own investigation, with the help and guidance of our team.

Our ghost hunting equipment will all be made available for your use, and you will be shown how to use it effectively.

You are welcome to bring any ghost hunting equipment of your own, and don't forget your camera and / or camcorder.
