Most Haunted Fans will remember the events of the night Yvette and her team visited this extremely haunted location.
It is now your turn to join us and our guest medium as we investigate the hauntings at this historic airfield. What will we find on the night....
Is this airfield haunted....or just a flight of fantasy !
The Museums exhibits are testament to the history of aviation throughout the 20th Century.
It is all housed at what was once Sunderland Airport, until its closure in 1984.
There has been a military base on the site since 1917 during World War 1, playing a major role in the defence of the Nation. Most famously on August 15th 1940, when the Battle of Britain was raging, every Hurricane stationed at the airfield was scrambled and intercepted enemy bombers and fighters. However, enemy attacks did not necessarily lead to every loss of life at this location. Tragic training disasters also cruely claimed the lives of brave airmen. Could it be their spirits which still wander this ghostly site.
Stones are thrown within the hangers by unseen hands, and a German spy who stole a plane from the airfield is said to roam here along with the ghost of an alsatian dog.
As well as being witnessed by many visitors, the ghost of an Air Sea Rescue pilot apparantly does not like visitors anywhere near his helicopter. He has been known to physically push people out of the way.
War time music and chatter are often heard and are beleived to come from what use to be the air crew rest room area. Dark shadows and poltergeist activity are reported to be in every area of the entire location.
Will we catch a glimpse of the airman who is reported to roam the hangers, looking for the wreckage of his crashed plane. He is said to be that of Sgt Edward Grenville Shaw, who crashed on the site during a training exercise in his Hurricane fighter plane during World War 2.
The plane Sgt Shaw was flying was dug up not so long ago, aswell as his personnal belongings. Perhaps it is his search for these personnal belongings which brings his return to haunt the hangers.
There are many other reported sightings and strange phenomena at this site, too many to list here. Will you join us and see what we may un cover at this extremely haunted location.
Join in with group séances, table tipping and more. As with all our events you will have the opportunity to break down into smaller groups and carry out your own investigation, with the help and guidance of our team.
Our ghost hunting equipment will all be made available for your use, and you will be shown how to use it effectively.
You are welcome to bring any ghost hunting equipment of your own, and don't forget your camera and / or camcorder.
